If it's painful to be going and tears are really showing

The Great Society was a huge waste of money. The War on Poverty was a costly disaster.

Some people have no dreams and no ambition. I pity those that can't see past their nose and be amazed by the scope and majesty of the Universe around us.

She can sit on the White House lawn and burn a pile of 8500 one dollar bills if she wants to. It's her money and this is still a free country.

Che is dead and the Iron Curtain fell a long time ago...give it up. Capitalisim won. And stop pretending like you cared about Humvee armor before you read the talking point on Kos and DU and stop worrying about successful people having a good time. You sound like a bunch of jealous Puritans.

It may have been a botched joke, but he really believes what he said. Otherwise he would have apologized the same day instead of stonewalling until he had to say he was sorry...sort of. And he already said the same thing.

"In 1972, as he ran for the House, he was less apologetic in his comments about the merits of a volunteer army. He declared in the questionnaire that he opposed the draft but considered a volunteer army “a greater anathema.”

“I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown,” Kerry wrote. “We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply ‘doing its job.’

“Equally as important, a volunteer army with our present constitutional crisis takes accountability away from the president and put the people further from control over military activities,” he wrote."

"Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier proved that big is beautiful by using size 20 models for his 30th anniversary show during fashion week in Paris."

Proved something, but I don't think that was it.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
