... wow Americans are amazing with their tipping. We don't do it at all here in Australia. *any* extra money should be taken gratefully, not expected as '15% or you're rude!' nor 'if you don't tip at all you're horrible'.
Surely it's about being REALLY annoying rather than any thoughts about it being used as a swear word? Imagine 25 kids all saying 'meep' ALL the time. It would drive you CRAZY
Note I wasn't the one who said 'intricate and whimsical' (though I think it's whimsical, I didn't say it), the words to the article were put in by admin because I didn't say enough, I think. The woman who made it is a dollhouse miniaturist, not a sculptor, and this was just what she made for a project, not for something professional. I think that it's quite good for what 'ordinary' people can do, and I thought it was a totally awesome concept for an original miniature, and that I should share! :) The blog post above that one on fluffy bricks now shows how she made parts of it.
Adelaide Zoo is really nice, and always gives the animals 'toys' and things to figure out (and they change them on a regular basis), and the orangutan has trees, ropes, climbing frames, and quite a large enclosure. That photo shows only one corner of it.
I don't believe it's for human entertainment either, (even though they're good to look at/funny sometimes), they're there for conservation purposes, and for human education purposes.
Oh yeah, we had a good listen of these links at a party once. It was so fascinating.
DaveL- Most likely, but you'll find that people speak more formally when public speaking even now. And from people's research, speech patterns were a lot different back then as were desired voices.

hehe. Not for kids!
I also think that not all men want the same thing or find the exact same things attractive. Way to insult women and call their boyfriends liars.

I just liked the doll, and that someone made a figurine of someone that they admired.
