I think something like this is to some degree to be expected really.

In every society there are sides that aren't seen, some of them are bad, some are simply ever changing.

The internet is just another society, however it is one that is ideally suited for enormous and rapid growth, and it has done just that.

It's interesting to see the estimated statistics on it though, but when you think about it, most people at one point or another probably use parts of the dark web without even realising it.
