Actually now, I think if he were to make the public exposing of ones underwear obscene, that minor change would deal with the problem because then the local/state obscenity laws would handle the situation, and adding something like that to obscenity statutes would be far less difficult than outlawing sagging trousers.

@Ali S.: You might consider a rescue if you're looking for a particular breed of dog. Rescue dogs sometimes have had a rough go of things(neglect, abandonment, etc.), but my two have both been very loving members of the family. An added bonus is that your rescue dogs tend to be healthier than ones from shelters where diseases can run rampant.

PETA advocates a world where no one eats meat, has pets, or uses any animal products. They want all animals to roam free and not be enslaved by evil humans. Where hitting an animal on the road will get you a prison term. So basically they want us all to live in fear of being savaged by wild dog packs, completely unable to protect ourselves if attacked. If they were only about what their name says, they'd be a fine organization, but instead they're a bunch of pet murdering psychos.

@DOJ, Basically yes. If you eat more than your body consumes each day you need to exercise or your body with store the excess fuel as a fat. When you eat less than your body's energy needs, it will consume fat to balance its usage. That's why if you're trying to lose weight a low calorie, low fat, high fiber diet combined with a moderate amount of activity are so good. One of the reasons some diets advise cutting out carbohydrates is because they easily convert into surplus sugar and then to fat.

But I've found (I have many relatives that have tried fad diets, and I used to be obese) that best results for maintaining a healthy weight is really simple, eat when you get hungry, but only enough to curb your hunger, you'll find that your caloric intake will be drastically diminished, your food bills will go down, and your clothes will get loose. My parents and I lost a total of 430lbs and have kept it off for 5 years thanks to this method.

If the Boy Scouts of America was the same organization it was 40 years ago when my uncles were Eagles and my Grandfather was a troop leader, I'd be right there with you cheering this kids accomplishments. It's taken a lot of hard work to collect all of those badges, and he should be commended for that. Sadly though, since being taken over by the Church of Latter Day Saints, I've lost all respect for BSA, and anyone who is associated with it in it's current form.
