Ant: Nope, not according to the document I read--it's a minimum of $30K per week. That may be reduced if they pay other writers the 'script fee', to about $15K a week.
I don't know how many weeks of the year soap operas actually shoot, but if I understand the pay scales correctly, head writers could easily clear $500K.

The photos on that site are pretty minuscule. There are better ones on Flickr:

Is the kooky accent just a bonus, or is that really how Sandy Chase sounds?

There appears to be some disagreement, or at least careful wording, concerning Newgrange and 'the oldest building in the world".
On Malta, the Ggantija temples claim to be the oldest "free-standing building in the world". Subtle difference?
The dating of both buildings is pretty imprecise, so I'm unclear if experts can definitively say which is older.

Awesome, but totally untrue. Wikipedia says so, and Google Maps backs it up:

There's also an extraordinary example of this in Rabat, near where I live on Gozo:

Not to be a total pedant (okay, too late), but specifically those are origami cranes, and they have an interesting role in Japanese culture:

This is neither here nor there, but that billboard is at least a year or two old. I live in Vancouver, and have a vague recollection of when it came out.
