also i should have added this comment about an insurance case i was told about: my sister works at an huge insurance company in my city. she told me about a case years ago involving a woman wanting to take "revenge against all men", after finding out her cheating husband gave her AIDS! wow, if a rape victim buys many of these devices, and i am one of the men she goes out and meets at a club/bar one night...im supposed to go to the doctor and claim i didnt rape this woman? im totally screwed!
this is of course a very extreme case of using this device negatively, of course, but isnt it possible?
like i stated before, this device sounds like a great benefit for womens' protection, but lets not make it lethal, and women still need to know how to defend themselves and maybe carry a self defense weapon too!
good luck to all, and god bless!

ok people...
i am a martial arts instructor and i teach martial arts classes and self defense classes to women, kids, etc...
everyone telling their opinions about views of this new invention, all have positive and negative things to say about it, right?
well, here's my small and fairly worthless opinion (haha!)
here are the facts ive read so far:
1- women put this invention inside her to protect her from unwelcome penetration, but i assume it can not be worn 24/7 this device can be worn at least when going out with other women for fun, etc... at least they have something they can use to protect themselves for a short time that night, (works a lot better than mace spray, right?) (THATS A GOOD THING)
2- if attacker / male rapist penetrates woman with device inside her, the device cuts into rapist' penis, he cannot further perform rape agaisnt the woman. this device must be surgically taken off of rapist' penis. (thats a good thing)
3- if this device is not surgically removed, in a fairly short amount of time, it becomes LETHAL to the rapist. (THIS IS A BAD THING)

ok, heres why i say the things above: i teach womens self defence class, i tell them if someone is attacking them, do whatever it takes to get them away, and defend themselves. in practical self defence, if the victim gets knocked out, theres nothing to stop the attacker from doing serious damage to the victim (woman)...what can the victim do to prevent the attacker from even killing them?!? now what the hell does this have to do with the new invention? well, if a woman gets raped form now on, there was already an invention to KILL the rapist...its called a GUN / PISTOL! if you think its ok to have the rapist DIE from comitting rape, then pull a gun out and shoot him in the side of the head! blow his head clear of his neck! rape it a terrible, violent crime agains any woman, i would hate to have it happen to me.
>>>> i think the only problem i see with this invention is that it has to be surgically removed, or else death MAY result. it shouldnt matter if the rapist "feels" a certain way, or is "afraid" of getting caught for his crime, etc.....
this device is supposed to CUT into a mans' penis! wow! what man is going to still be able to perform rape with razors in his penis?
yes, another problem with the device is coverage on a womans' body: it doesnt cover anal or oral rape, correct?
i would be happier to hear if this device could be made to cut into a rapist penis, have to be removed surgically, but NOT cause death to him. im not taking up for saving the lives of rapists, just that death is not always the answer.
does this device still help women from being raped? sure. i hope it can be improved some way to be non lethal. its kind of like when mace spray came out, but now we have stun guns! this device puts an END to the rape at the time of rape, but it seems like there are still some "negative" side effects (possible eventual death)
i teach my female students to protect themselves, but not to kill their attackers.
i also agree with lots of things stated so far too: women wearing less provocative clothing, not putting themselves in dangerous situations...
good luck to all with this devicec, the women who wear them, and hopefully this device can "cut" (haha!) the number of rapes each year!
