@ donna: What the hell are you on about? WM managers make far less than their oil, pharma or banking counterparts. Corporate profits are $.03 on the dollar.
@ Moon: That PBS piece contains information that is old as balls. Walmart hasn't advertised "American Made" in over 16 years.
Also...lol @ the person saying factory work is "skilled". If kids in Taiwan can do it, it's not skilled. We need to get honest as a country and blame the unions for killing off American manufacturing just as much as wanton consumption.
Like I said, great topic; I really can't be bothered to go through the post again, but the Owen Wilson paragraph is a good example of what I'm talking about. It's not horrible -- it just appears to be lazily written.
This is an interesting article, but easily the most poorly written thing I've yet seen on Neatorama. I assume there's no "English is my second language" excuse?
@ Geekazoid: Don't monolithic companies like GE, Westinghouse and Disney ultimately own all "old" media? What about News Corp.? Rupert owns more media than anyone else, AFAIK.
I bet you're one of those people who can ignore the incredible "straddling the fence" tactics of the Fox Network vs Fox News.
Pointing Hubble at the Moon is like using binoculars to look at blood cells.

What a spectacular, lazy fail on your part! :D
Yeah...there's no element of truth to what he's saying...like if you hit a car on a motorcycle, you lose. Moron.
No matter who wins, we all lose. Wake up.
