100 percent. Although I probably have the t.v. show QI to thank for it. They taught me that calling a banana a fruit isn't entirely correct! It's more of a berry because banana trees aren't trees at all, they're plants.
That's all people see anyway. Count me as one of the people that would donate because of a letter like that. It's honest and it made me laugh. In the same vein, I never give money to homeless people with signs that say they want money for drugs or alcohol. They're just confirming the preconception that they suck at life.
I don't buy the "good for you" part. The increased activity was only shown for those "experienced" internet users. Looking at people with photographic memories, they most often use far less brain activity for similar memory recall exercises than normal people. So more activity isn't always better, it may just mean lazy and inefficient. Which seems far more likely but hey, I'm no neuroscientist.
I think both of their campaigns have been disgusting so far although I'm definitely not voting McCain. His VP choice is insulting to the American people. It was cheap pandering and sadly enough it seems to be working at the moment.
For people who enjoyed that I highly recommend "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt" by Edmund Morris. His bad assery (yes, bad assery) cannot be summed up in one page.
Side note: Scorcese is making a movie based on this biography starring... Leonardo Di Caprio!
Back to the topic... My front door is about 20 feet from my polling place. I think I'll lose my citizenship if I don't vote in this election.
