Okay, may be reading this wrong, but the study was based fully on what the people being studied admitted, right? So, actually, the tattooed people are considered more deviant simply because they are more likely to admit their "wrongdoing" than the non-tattooed people? So, as I read it, honesty is the "deviant behavior"......
