That is crazy! However, stories like these are sometimes a bit misleading when it comes to sensational things such as a potential fountain of youth.
Either way I hope we can learn a great deal about the aging process from this little girl and hopefully find a way to allow her to one day develop fully into an adult.
I'm glad we have vonskippy here to tell us what species are "useless" and what aren't. I'm guessing if he doesn't eat it then he believes they have no use in this world. (aside from humans I hope)
I hate to break it to you von, but there are plenty of people who hunt and fish on the one hand but are passionate conservationists on the other hand. You don't have to be a vegetarian tree-hugger to want to promote a healthy ecosystem.
I assume he is talking about the Potomac River in Washington DC. If so I would hardly call it "noxious". Decades ago I would have agreed with you, but there has been a concerted effort over the years to clean the river up and it is far from a cesspool.
Granted there is some to be desired, and there is still work to be done, but it's far from a sewer.
I just got a really annoying message saying "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?" I hit the x, but then it wouldnt let me get away from this page or even close firefox. I had to control alt delete it.
Here is the problem folks. People who think evolution doesn't happen will never believe you no matter what you say. This is because they cherry pick their evidence to support their preconceived notions. On top of that, the "evidence" they use to support their claims are either misrepresented, or come from dubious sources.
It is sad, but until more faith leaders come to understand that evolution does not disprove their religion, we will continue to have this disconnect. I think many religious organizations are moving in the right direction, but we still have some major stumbling blocks.
Awwwwww...

Well done!

Words to live by
Many of the younger generation who were children 20 years ago don't even know about this episode of China's history.

Evolution is real, and it happens.
