So we're all in agreement: we're going to round up all the headline authors in the world and force them to live together on a isolated island. They'll be happy thinking up Lord of the Flies puns, and we'll be happy letting normal people write headlines like: "first microbes breathed sulfur" -- and stop there.

When I visited Hungary, I thought they were in superb shape. They must keep their obese off the tourist paths. America looked _fat_ when I got back...

While I have wondered about vertical or semi-vertical hand orientations on mice before (fully flat hurts me after a while), this looks too small for the hand in the photo, and I hope they came up with a mechanism to improve upon the aforementioned horrid Apple puck mouse's "which way is up?" problem. Maybe the next iteration.

The photo here, no idea, but the similar-looking object on the 55tools blog is Neptune's Trident. And boy is he going to be pissed that someone stole it -- best avoid ocean travel for a while.

No t-shirt please, but if you wish to help your local humane society, woot.

Harry's 11 inch pianist was cut out of the books for the movies; I can't believe they cut out all those dank bar scenes, it really changed the flavor of the story.

It's a pity they didn't just tax energy use 5รท and let people figure out for themselves how to reduce energy use; the tax income could be applied towards fixing up our archaic power grid so it doesn't fail when it gets cold outside.

You left out the best part about the driver in the rear seat -- he had to wear a "seat costume" that was very different looking than the normal seats. Also, it wasn't _always_ blind-driving, they fit a *mirror* into the head-rest hole that the driver could see out but not us in. Clever, but not so good for continuity. But could you imagine a show on TV today that helps independent truckers and migrant workers unionize???
