I agree that the U.S. should not impose its culture on others. I am sure that there are many parts of Afghan culture that are wonderful, but using your own child to settle a gambling debt is something that should not ever happen. This poor child has no prospects after her husband, who is almost the same age as her grandfather should be, dies? At least an arranged marriage with a man of a similar age would allow her more dignity and respect.

And just so we all know, noone is forcing anyone "to cut up their bodies in the name of beauty/finding a boyfriend" I was encouraged by my father to find someone who loves me as I am, or to not find anyone at all! I have the freedom to do so, and although I do not agree with everything the United States does, I do support any culture who allows a woman to do so!
