There would be two ways to look at it, one being that elders should be able to make decisions for children , seeing as children don't seem to know whats best for themselves. However you could also see it as a sick idea and what coward of a man would do that to his daughter, or an innocent child. I personally think that, yes, its true that elders do know whats best for the young, but such a heavy decision like marriage, should'nt be forced upon anyone, especially when they're young. Of course i respect other cultures, but some of the things that are and aren't allowed i strongly disagree with.
