Not a lot to watch and hence, not a lot to miss. An occasional ''House'', ''Psych'', ''Monk'' and maybe some news when there's visuals you can't get on the net.

I think the problem is that fewer shows are aimed at families. We used to all gather to watch Carol Burnett or All in the Family or Columbo. What family wants to watch Desperate Housewives together?

Give kids some credit. My father was a smoker and I saw his cigs every day until I was about 12, when he stopped. It never dawned on me to take up smoking, to buy cigarettes, or tell anyone to smoke.

I'm 46 and I cannot remember a time when I didn't hear the Dead Sea was dying. I mean, it is called the ''Dead'' Sea!

What a shame he didn't stop with the modifications when he was still black...

Are you kidding? Everyone knows that oil is used to make all kinds of products other than gas for cars! In fact, oil and what inventors have done with it have helped us live very improved lives.

I think it's silly to liken consumption of a product that afford us such benefits, even something as simple as getting around every day, to an addiction. That's just plain progressive/liberal propaganda trying to get people to hate oil companies.

I would say that no one ever talks about how lesser off we'd be if we hadn't learned to drill for oil successfully. No one ever mentions that we should be grateful for it.

That's just plain dumb. Many of the to Dems are wealthy people.... Like Pelosi, for example. It's just silly stereotyping. Stewart would be funnier if he showed his Lefty tendancies a lot less.

Why can't blog authors on sites like this just stay neutral to begin with? I'll never understand the need for people on sites like icanhascheezburger, for instance, to upload anti-Xtian or anti-Bush lolcats, for example. The same goes here with this ''Xtianity killed...''. What's the point?

Why not just take into consideration the whole of your reading public before publishing? It isn't that hard to do.

Neatorama, and other similar sites, are where surfers just want to relax and enjoy a few minutes of downtime. Period.

This is a weird take on ''trolls''. As someone who has had a blog and dealt with trolls, it is not about them deliberately trying to gave a blogger a breakdown. It's about being vulgar, intolerant, threatening even, because the troll cannot abide with the blogger's pt of view.

What makes a troll a troll is their total incapacity to justify their opinions with anything else but emotionally-charged generalizations and to engage in grown-up debate about much of anything.

THAT is what trolldom is about. Not some hyped-up faux-anarchist troublemaker.

Trolls are a symptom of what makes discourse difficult in our world. They are all about how they feel. And what they feel precludes any analysis. Bloggers are not always right but honest bloggers accept viable arguments. Trolls are about insults, not ideas.

No one is forcing anyone in those countries where arranged marriages are still done to take up Western courting traditions. Hence, they should not expect us to do as they do, either.

The problem lies with what does happen when some girls/women do not want to go through with the arranged marriage. Some, even in places like the UK, are severely punished, even killed for their refusal.

Arranged marriages might still work in specific circumstances: when both the future bride and groom are still willing. But in today's world, that is less and less often the case.

Uh, you did hear that Fox News was found to be the most fair in reporting the primaries this year, right? Right? They were the only channel not in Obama's pocket, making him out to be the messiah, day after day, after day after day.

You people with your anti-Bush, anti-Right, anti-Fox mindsets are incredible. You write that you are all for having al-jazeera broadcast here, it's a free country, blah, blah, blah, but you then try to make out that Fox News is right-wing propaganda and shouldn't be allowed to be on air???

If you believe that it's OK to have a pro-arab, pro-islamist, pro-islamic channel available in the USA, then how on earth can you justify hating Fox News so much???!!! Do you even watch Fox News?
