The English penny is still very popular with magicians. The fact that it's the same size as a US Half Dollar makes it easy to manipulate and perfect for sleight-of-hand tricks where you appear to transmute one coin into the other.
Maybe someone will argue that jazz doesn't count, but Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers was an almost continual rotation of talent. Wikipedia lists no less than 65 different members, all with the same drummer (Blakey). While jazz musicians tend to play around a lot, this is the only group I can think of with so many players under a single name.
A limerick-based dictionary wiki, Defines terms in poems quite tricky. But my bet is submissions will explode beyond wishin's, By the time they get 'round to "Nantucket".
Reminds me of the old Jim Henson Wilkins Coffee spots, where the message seemed to be "Drink Wilkins, or we'll shoot you in the face." In other words, awesome.
Where the Internet is failing me is where I can't track down the original commercial that became the joke about "The fog is getting THICKER!" "…and Leon's getting LAAAAAAAARGER!!"
It was a commercial that was on right around the time Airplane! came out, and I remember as a kid laughing because I recognized it, but for the life of me I can't recall what it was or ever what it was for. Now everyone knows the line, but no one remembers why it was originally funny.
This is a really interesting "half full/half empty" test. Half the folks say "Yes! Go for it! Little girl against the world!" and the rest say "Oh! Get down from there before you get hurt!" I was one of the latter, and I'm kind of embarrassed about it.
Point of information: the team member exposition in the pilot episode ("…He likes to slug officers.") is not delivered by Amy Allen, but to her. The man who introduces us to the A-Team is in fact played by Ron "Arnold Horshack" Palillo. How's that for some weird TV crossfade?
