Uhhmmm from my perspective the revamped Neato looks like one of those ladies with excelent legs (I would say feet but everyone would be grossed out) but a small or overdecorated head.
Why?
So much excelent and funny wtf-ish characters on the bottom (the place where some may never scroll to) and on the header a HUGE horizontal ad with several links to adsense and a then a small Neatorama sign.
The art is so clever and finely made that is a shame it is so concealed. I'm all for the slim header but the ad is distracting.
But relax, I'll get used to it and by the looks of it there is a concensus about the good design so ignore my nitpicking!
There is no doubt that a meme needs to be simple and appealing. But almost all memes came from involuntary attemps at being funny... Whenever a forced meme (a meme specifically intended to be a meme) is created - and that happens a lot in 4chan - the creator is ridiculed and the said meme spirals into oblivion. Who would've dreamed that the goofy I Can Has Cheezburger cat would get so popular?
I believe there is no magic recipe for the creation of a meme...
Kinda like the viral videos that once were funny but now that the marketing companies THINK they have our tastes figured they stretch the rope until it snaps and it feels like exploitation. Losing all humor in the process...
Well... my eyes burn with rage whenever I see that font!
And sometimes I see it in government forms. Imagine that.
Sometime ago I've seen a video of the guy who designed it saying that if you love comic sans you don't know anything about graphic design BUT if you absolutely hate comic sans you don't know anything about graphic design!
@Sock Poppette seefish3 is right... When a font as a "sans" in the name it means it doesn't have a serif. A serif is that finishing embellishment to a letter... Take a look at Neatorama's N for instance... See that "continuation" of the N's vertices? That's a serif right there. If you're confused google it... Wiki has a good article on that.
I'm portuguese so I'm glad to see Inês de Castro's story there. The mithology of that love is something that we are very proud... It's like having a real life Romeo & Juliet with a bit of royal family drama to spice things up.
Further notes on this story... Legend has it Pedro ordered the two executers he caught to be tortured in front of him as he feasted. One had his heart ripped from the front and the other from the back. Yikes... The third guy was never caught and supposedly fled to France. Reports say he was forgiven by the king in his death bed.
Another curiosity, a very important one, they are buried in the same cemitery with their graves pointing at each other. Aparently to make them able to look at each other's eyes when judgment day arrives.
I admit there are some advantages in renting but it is very nice to know that you're paying (for a lot of years and in 3 or 4 times the amount the bank lent to you I know!) for a thing that one day will be yours. And when you die it will be for your kids to manage. in the long run I believe that is a good reason to buy. It's an opportunity for them to make some money with the same house they grew into or, if their lives are not going that sparkly, they can move in anytime they want. A lent house, cheaper that it might be, will never be yours! Except if the landlady is a sexy old rich woman that "happens" to die after she passed you the ownership...
Here in European Union most countries have a standardized Drivers License! So basically you seen one you've seen them all. I don't know when Poland adopted this format of the EU driving permit but even on the image posted above you see that the names are filed under the 1. and 2. marked places! Just like mine does here in Portugal.
Irish cops... Cut on the Guiness dosage if you may! ;)
I would have to say that is an ancient CS/ mace/ pepper spray/ whatever you wanna call it shooter. By the size and sturdy looks might need a vehicle or a tripod to serve as a stand. So yeah... I think this might be a riot control minigun.

P.S. Gotta love the gnarly cross eyed troll! ;)
urlesquians you fools... you just made cat people angry!

Well... Tetris seems a bit far fetched anyway... Maybe pong with eyeball controlled "rackets".
