Reminds me of the last time I went to the grocery store. There was a small section of back to school items (notebooks, pencils, etc., none of it college-specific) and right next to it was sets of kitchen knives. And on the other side of the knives was halloween items. I'm not sure whether they were thinking kids needed knives to go back to school, or knives make for an exciting halloween.
I have a bit of symmetry/evenness OCD. For example, if my right elbow touches something cold, I have to touch my left elbow to the cold thing too. I'm also quite fidgety, and if I raise one eyebrow, I must raise the other one too; and if they still feel different I have to keep raising them to make them both feel the same.
I once heard someone say that racism is like body odor. Everybody has it; some people just have better control over it than others, and some days it's easier to control than other days.
