I find Mayo, Ketchup, and Mustard to be more gross than Many of the bugs i have eaten. Meal worms taste almost exactly like pistachio nuts.

Also certain things that people find gross are things that were on every dinner plate 100 years ago. The ONLY reasons we don't eat them today is that they are hard to prepare or hard to ship and preserve.

Read a good cookbook from before 1920 and you will find a lot of things that people just throw away now.

The Play gay/transgendered category is a load of crap.

Think of the LONG list of people playing transgendered roles who got nominated and didn't win, yet the list provided doesn't list a single person who really won for playing a transgender person.

linda hunt as mentioned before only played a man, not really a trans role just a trans attitude towards casting.

Here is a list of wonderful performances in transgender roles that seems to prove that you should NOT play a transgender person if you want to win an oscar, and that you shouldn't play a MTF.

Jack Lemmon in Some like it Hot
Chris Sarandon in Dog Day Afternoon
John Lithgow in the World According to Garp
Julie Andrews in Victor Victoria
Jaye Davidson in The Crying Game
Felicity Huffman in Transamerica

All the above were nominated for acting and didn't Win.

Also it is a complete travesty that Hedwig and the Angry inch didn't get nominated for anything the year it came out. It should have at least gotten a music nomination.

Whoever put this list together is in denial about the fact that the Oscars might like gay roles but they certainly do not like transgender roles to win awards.

If you think that most liberals are white is it because you don't know any minorities who grew up in their communities. Also it is a sign that you get your political "information" from someone who tells you what to think instead of gathering it your self by being involved in your community.

Some of the progressive people (not necessarily liberal) in my past and present have been Black, Thai, Polish, Cape Verdian, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, Bosnian, Serbs, Greek, Filipino, Nigerian, Cajun, Creole, Jamaican, Senegalese, Haitian, Native American and among them only ONE has been a Blue Blood with ties back before the USA was made.

BTW - I have seen each and every one of these ethnicities called "non-white" in the last year by conservatives.

So THIS is why Sonic ads started blasting to us nationally starting during the Bush administration. A lot of Texas companies tried to increase their profile during the Bush years.

I always wondered why Sonic would waste national advertising money when they really aren't located within 600 miles from the stations i see them advertising on.

Having never been to a Sonic i didn't associate them with Texas and Oklahoma but here is the data plain as day. And now I see that the ads they ran did have an Austin hipster vibe to them.
