that wasn't as creepy as opening the paper one morning and being accosted by pictures of simon cowell in just his swim shorts strolling along the beach with his girlfriend. *shudder*
anyway, what's wrong with being disrespectful to these people? cowell's responsible for a tsunami of auditory sewage over here in the U.K...

maybe you could film yourself eating them, then carruthers can watch the film round at this guy's house. i think he might enjoy that.

if this carried. on in the way it started, russia and switzerland would be de-populated pretty swiftly. i wouldn't mess with the swiss. they have to have guns by law and they're ALL in the army...
i bet killing that guy won't make his loss disappear in the long run anyway

anathema:
i agree with you about the accuracy thing. however, an overwhelming majority of posts sourced from the british press (not the bbc) on neatorama seem to be coming from the daily mail. there's the small truth, ie, the basic facts of the story, and there's the 'weather', which is influenced by the press who's distribution is national. outside of the large population centres in the u.k where most muslim societies congregate, you will almost never see a traditionally dressed muslim woman (as illustrated in this article), let alone a harem. however the daily mail's readership (like my mum for example) are spread pretty broadly accross the country, rural, urban or otherwise. this puts the fear of the 'other' into places where it frankly doesn't belong. if jews were being written about in the same way as musilms are right now in the u.k, there would quite rightly be an outcry...as i mentioned i was adding a bit of context to that post. i freely admit that i'm anti daily-mail, but i think that i'm calling this one correctly. :]

just to put this in context - the 'daily mail' is, by and large, a small minded and mean spirited right wing publication, and these types of stories are its stock in trade. i don't necessarily doubt the accuracy of the story, but the theme of foreigners plundering the great british coffers by exploiting the benefits system is a particular favourite. add to that the extra lurid dimension of polygamy...as someone (i forget who) once memorably said of the mail: "you can practically hear the sound of lips pursing the length and breadth of middle england."

this video is the attack of the beautiful people. a window display for the gap. or borders. or starbucks. everywhere i go these bastards follow me, and half of them i don't even recognise, but they're still unmistakable. it's like background radiation and it eats my soul with its perfect teeth, just-so 'messy' hair, distressed denim and climbing on the back of anything interesting that moves. the sight of scarlett johannson singing in a vocal booth in a political video really is the ourobouros incarnate.
don't get me wrong, i don't have a problem with obama, but this thing is international (i write from london, u.k) and is seen differently elsewhere. its no exaggeration to say that there's far more noise here in the u.k regarding your primaries than there is over much of our own politics. there's a direct line of influence which extends from your executive, via your media, corporations and political structures, through ours, to me.
this is not an anti-american thing (i've never visited), but i don't feel i have a choice in any of this. yes, i know, i clicked on the link. silly me. and no, i've never met (or read) naomi klein...;-)

he claims not to have used his education - so, he made himself, for example, deliberately less able to do mental arithmetic, or be less confident, perhaps have a reading age of 10 - basically think differently, have a different mind even? that's not to say that his adopted peer group are 'stupid' - but that many factors are hidden and deep rooted. equally, some may start out disadvantaged but do really well. the point is that this is a simplistic and egocentric experiment.
"I think I was disadvantaged, because my thinking was inside of a box." - too true. but not in the way he means.
