@crankycat (and some of the other tiara receivers) - note on the tiara: it is actually a better quality one than many of the "toy" ones you find to buy, though not as good (obviously) as the Swarovski ones that cost a bundle.
I'm only slightly disappointed because I already have a tiara, not because this one's a bad one. :D But as others have said - it's a mystery, you know that going in.

Just got mine today - a leather belt with a Got Beef? buckle, and a sparkly tiara. The belt will be too small for me (ironic, given that I gave my t-shirt size, heh) but my 10-yr-old nephew may like it...
As for the tiara - I suppose a girl can't have too many of those, eh?

Heh - thankfully some other members of the Fibertarian Party have already weighed in on this, but yes -- that sandwich is definitely crocheted, not knit.
I wouldn't qualify it as amigurumi, but then again, there's a lot of things classified as anime that I think shouldn't be, either.

Mrs. Pena's 6th grade Geography class -- at least I think that was the subject, I had her for two classes since she taught the TIPS students. We were watching on a TV brought down from the A/V room because we had submitted her name to be the teacher on that flight -- I remember thinking what a good thing it was that she wasn't chosen after all, and then feeling horrible for all the kids who were Christa McAuliffe's students.

Apparently, the gang at Mix 94.7 in Austin, TX tried one of these out. If you go fast enough and hit a big wake, the person goes a very long distance in the air - their guinea pig was at the end of the trailer rope straight up over the towing boat and sailing on.

I will note, however, that quite often living service men and women are honored on Memorial Day, even though there is a separate holiday for veterans. :)
