I'm from Poland and maybe because of that I don't know Dr. Seuss (though I've heard the name), while I happen do have a couple of Scarry's books, which I've always adored. All the fun imagination, all the details, the way the pages were busy, but in a good way - great stuff. I'm a bit of an illustrator myself (little bit) and recently when I dug out Scarry's books for inspiration all the pictures and stories were wonderfully familiar.
