There used to be an age of innocence in this country. No Hanna Montana, no Britney Spears. We didn't wear make up at the age of seven, drugs were not a problem in school. Swearing and pole dancing was not a part of regular TV programming. The only violence was The Three Stooges, but there was no blood or gore that goes with what is shown these days. There was respect for authority (and a little fear). And, getting an education was primary in a child's life.
