Related to rainbows, I think. If you are up high, say in a tower or on a hill looking out into a valley with the sun behind you, rainbows are circular.
You also get them if you look at your own shadow in dewy grass, especially in moonlight.

oh it's ceramic! hahaha. I thought it was a paper cup in a gift box too. I was gonna say that it seemed like a pointless exercise. But ceramic? Good for the environment! reusable non paper cup.

These are actually 2 different models. The top one is from the book and the the 2nd - YouTube one - is from a PDF which was (is?) available on the net to download, printout and make for FREE!
I did, and it's sitting in my room on my bookshelf.
A friend of mine bought the book but wants to keep it in good order so isn't going to build it (which kinda drives me nuts - wouldn't it be cooler as a model rather than bits in a book?).
