This reminds me of a great Czech movie on Youtube entitled (I think) "The Fantastic World of Jules Verne." Wonderful special effects--including a submarine that sails the world.

Another use for Ivory soap: washing out kids' mouths when they used "bad words." I remember the taste well.

Hello from Baltimore. Have shoveled out twice this week (Sunday and Thursday). Schools closed, as are many businesses. Main roads passable, secondary streets not so much. Store shelves empty (everybody stocked up last week, no deliveries this week). Roofs collapsing from the weight of the snow. That satellite photo? Yup, I feel like I shoveled that much! And guess what--we're supposed to get MORE SNOW ON SUNDAY!!!!!!

Here's what I do. Take the eggs out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature. Add a little white vinegar to the water you boil them in. When done, let them cool completely (put back in fridge if you're in a hurry). The shells will come off easily.
