Even if we stretch credibility and say that the subject of the photo is 30 years old, the photographic technology simply did not exist in 1839 to take a picture of this quality.

On this basis the physical similarities are irrelevant.

I may be wrong, but I think all these strips ARE NOT PHOTOSHOPPED. I have the original Calvin / Hobbes annuals, and occasionally there are strips where Hobbes is depicted as a real teddy bear.

In other words, these are all GENUINE Calvin/Hobbes strips!
