As an atheist, I actually disagree with the premise that the world would be free of turmoil without religion. Human beings would have merely erected some other power structure to take it's place and it would probably be just as destructive a force as religion ultimately has been.
Just a slight disagreement, Alexander De Large was no victim of anything, especially in the movie. I mean, that was the entire point of the movie, that you can't change someone's inherent nature. He was evil through and through. The book, on the other hand, offered a more sympathetic version of Alex thanks to the excised last chapter.
Jesus, that's awful. I won't turn this into some political thing, but I think it's simplistic to be anti-war, that's like being anti-death. These things are awful, but they are a part of life. It's a shame this kid has to learn about the cruelty of life at such a young age.
How can marketing 'set you back'? This is the single most thoughtless assertion I've ever heard. In fact, how can the actions of another set anyone back? Are we not individuals? Feminists need to stop their assault on critical thinking.
