Subjective list. Failures of marketing aren't the same as failures of taste. In other words, no, we can't all agree that those flavors are all downright awful.

I agree with 3 and 6. It's a legitimate record, for catching genetically modified rainbow trout in the wild, and it's not as if ALL record holding catches aren't already determined by the genes of the fish they catch, strains and sizes which may not be available to all fishermen, as it is.

Confusing... The link makes the 500 mile claim, but the map/graphic on the page depicts 500 kilometers, which is closer to 300 miles. Still impressive, either way.

Came back to see if my comment had been approved :)

I second SimonSays' suggestion. January 1st makes sense, and, more importantly, is easy to remember.

Started reading Piers Anthony with the Apprentice Adept series, loved Incarnations of Immortality to death, but my favorite set is Geodyssey. Haven't met a Piers Anthony book I didn't like, though I never really got into Xanth.

(For the record, I see no reason why any creator would not be able to use evolution as the mechanism of creation, and my argument here is not against any religious belief that does not place itself above observable reality.)

The people least likely to find the theory of evolution to be valid are the most likely to believe that before Man was cast out of the garden of Eden, there was no death on earth. But then, how do they find a place for carnivorous plants, which they claim as designed by God (see above) to survive on the flesh of bugs?

#6, suggest you read the article, because the last paragraph addresses situations like those you describe. Also, bear in mind the specific definition within the article of what is a considered a bark, and that not all vocalizations qualify--just because it's a sound a dog makes doesn't mean it's a bark.

I do agree with #5, though, that it is a difficult-to-prove theory.

I'm sure we could rewrite the history of 9/11 to incite a War on Carrots.

The Culture Minister had it right the first time: art must be allowed to be free and provocative.
