Just to make it clear, just because you work harder doesn't mean you'll end up in the same place. I understand there's exceptions, but for the most part, America isn't a land of equality. Different people have different starting lines. Several things can affect where that starting line is including education (some public schools receive less income than others), race, and even how wealthy your parents are. So next time, think before you call someone "lazy".

Also, to my knowledge, tax is forced upon the individual. An important thing about charity is that it is a choice.

Well, Mink. You've got a point, but I don't think it's just that. Like the article said, I think this law will cause racial profiling. Police won't go after the blue eyed, blonde haired man in a business suit. Instead, they'll go after darker skinned people that don't look like they "belong". A similar racial profiling happened shortly after 9/11 when dark skinned people on airplanes were accused to be terrorists when they were usually just normal U.S. citizens, some of them not even from the Middle East.

You should understand that PETA is an organization full of humongous hypocrites. Yes, they fight for a good cause, but in a controversial and violent way. They're known to have funded the Animal Liberation Front projects, the organization behind violent acts for animal rights such as bombing testing facilities with not only people in them, but animals as well. PETA has in fact killed animals because they can't fit them into their shelters. I have no problem with their ideals. It's just that their solutions are something to be questioned.
