Reading all the comments makes me sick to see the hatred of people towards this woman. I agree, what she's done is horrible - I have an outdoor cat of my own and care for it dearly and would have never done that to any animal, but I still understand the difference between a cat and a human being. Why doesn't anyone care so much about human beings as they do for their pets? Why do we turn away when people are mobbed and molested and harassed but are ready to punish and torture even to death someone who hates cats? I say people are the most selcouth creatures on this planet.

I think that most parents do not understand how spanking should be done and instead spank the child in anger, which should never be done. I think that the child will understand it much better if before you spank him/her, you explain why his/her actions deserve to be punished and why you need to spank them for it (i.e. because you want the child to be obedient). Your child should always feel your love, even when you have to spank him/her.

As a child, I was spanked quite often, and I didn't grow up to be aggressive or had behavior problems in school. In fact, I'm thankful to my parents for spanking me, because I think no matter how much "time out" I might have had, I just wouldn't understand that what I was doing was wrong and hurting other people.

Another interesting article was written in Journal of Child & Adolescent Trauma by Michele Knox and Jason Brouwer which shows that there are still significant amount of early childhood professionals who recommend spanking to parents of children 5 years and younger... Just something to ponder upon.

I like the simplicity of this website. It's one of the websites that looks organized and simple. But that said, I think "Browse by Date" and "Browse by Tag" can be eliminated. I usually use the Search feature (which by the way looks very nice and modern) and have not even seen the "Browse by Date" and "Browse by Tag" features until you've mentioned it and I've been a very loyal visitor (coming here at least once a day) for the past year or so. I definitely think that the colors should stay the same (after all, there's a reason why Apple used the same colors for such a long time) - there's just something about gray/aluminum, white, and a little bit of a black that makes it simple but beautiful. The posts are usually very easy to follow, except for some of the very long articles. I feel like there should be a limit - after all, there's almost always a link at the bottom to a source where I go to find more information if I find the article interesting. Overall, though, this site is amazing and must be one of my favorites. Thanks for creating it!
