From what I gather, this is one of those 'India - the country of snake charmers' report from CNN. Most schools; in fact, all schools worship Hanuman. And not just him, many schools have more than one god, most popular being Ganesh (guy with Elephant head). However, it is unlikely that some one would officially make Hanuman the 'chairman' of school.
I was less fortunate. I was born in India who had never seen a TV until 18. But when I got into computer school in a big city, they sat me in front of a terminal. It was some sort of Sun system donated to school by Sun Microsystems. My first job after school was designing dialog boxes in Visual C++ 2, and later in 4.2, and the computer ran Windows 3.51 with 4 MB RAM and 180 MB hard disk. When they upgraded my RAM from 4 to 16, I sort of threw a party, just for myself and a buddy :).
This is actually a half baked report from Karen T. Democrats' strength this campaign has been the internet. It's not Obama's figuring out how important it is or how to maximize it's utility that has lead to his phenomenal fund raising.
34 years old, from India. Read Neatorama daily (couple of times a day). Thanks for putting together this blog, and great links. Other interesting sites I visit are lifehacker, kottke, consumerist.
