postsecret bothers me in that its so predominately depressing to read. i wish there were more positive postings, though I understand that people are more likely to send in the negative postcards because it is cathartic. I guess I'll have to stick to FOUND for my weird insights into humanity.

the japanese have had touch screen mini-computer phones for several years now. When Apple went to japan to show the phone, nobody cared, because it really wasnt all that special. Who gives a crap. In a couple months after iphone release, some japanese company is going to release something here that they've had on the market over there for years, and nobody will care about the iphone except people whos self worth is tied up in brand name and percieved cost.

Chula Vista isnt exactly South Central LA.. These kids have parents who simply haven't paid up thier school lunch tabs. Since the kids cant go hungry, the school offers them a free alternative lunch. Its played up for drama in this article, my sons school does the same thing if the child has a negative account balance... now, I know i've been let it slide on occasion, simply because I forget or he doesn't tell me he's getting low. (its not like they send you a monthly statement) and he's had to have a cheese sandwich or the equivalent. I feel bad and send money right away, though.

i had a civics teacher in high school (1996) who had a petrified mcdonalds cheeseburger. 15 years prior, she and her husband were having thier home built, and he nailed the burger to a post when they laid the foundation. It was still there, intact, when the house was finished. She took it to school and it lived on top of her file cabinet... it was not even nibbled by birds or touched by bugs.
