Okay, show of hands, who here already knew that Target didn't directly donate money to Emmer, but instead donated to Minnesota Forward, a political group currently supporting seven candidates total.
Consider the daily newspaper, which has survived well over a century in relatively the same format because of its dedication to pure, unadulterated information. Just news, opinionated editorials marked clearly as such, stocks/sports and other statistics, and the funnies. It never needs to change its layout or style to appeal to people's lust for newness, because the content itself is always shifting, changing, and new. And although they're failing right now, that's because of a high upkeep cost in a bad economy while more efficient formats are becoming available. And the larger ones will certainly keep going after the recession. Improving, but not changing.
Sad to say, Jimbo, that's the idea. Feeding starving people might seem like a nice thing to do, but that dosen't mean we're not messing around with nature in a big way. In any enviroment where you make/break too many of a certain resource for the short-term, nature always comes back and bites us all in the long-term. Depressingly, that resource can also be people.
Actually, you're supposed to use a shovel to kill a snake only after stunning it with a BB gun(real gus could ricochet easily), or even a hefty rock. Getting within shoveling distance of a live snake is just stupid.
That is utter twaddle thenight_1. The two burglars were in ANOTHER YARD,(or perhaps you didnt see the two-dozen times they mentioned that?) running AWAY from him(that lawyer of his needs a good blow to the head with a blunt object). But that dosent really matter considering HE WAS ALREADY SAFE IN HIS HOUSE BEHIND A LOCKED DOOR! And that whole bit about a cop witnessing it is BULLSHIT! Last time I checked, cops don't go through three months of training just so they can stand around and witness crimes.
This is how I choose most of my opinions. By siding against the people who never actually read anything.
What would you say if the two burglars got into a car parked in front, Horn got out of his house despite orders from a 911 dispatcher, followed then for 13 miles until they stopped at a motel, then shot them as they left their car. An obvious lunitic, right? Well guess what. Aside from Castle Doctrine not applying to the motel parking lot, there's not a damn difference between 13 miles and 13 feet from his front door. Either way you look at it, he was perfectly safe INSIDE his home, but made a decision to both disobey a 911 dispatcher, and put himself in potential harm. That alone should obliterate any chance of a Castle Doctrine ruling.
As for the actual deaths, he said himself "I’m gonna kill him". He made a decision, while he was perfectly safe and not at all worried for his life or property, to kill someone. That is premeditated murder in the very definition of the word.
With these two points combined, any county prosecutor worth his socks should have easly been able to take this to criminal court.
"It still will be illegal to carry handguns outside the home,"
I always seem to aggree most with the side that actually reads the news and statistics, and doesn't just gloss over them so they can move on to proving how stupid everyone else is.
pinguino, please don't pull credits out of your ass.
I've seen this comic before though. Whenever somone starts an "Intentionally depressing" thread on 4chan, it's been a prerequisite to post that image ever since it showed up about six months ago. No idea where it came from though, considering the entire board is anonymous.

Wow...
