I like nearly everything I read on Neatorama, but I'm not a big fan of the Museum of Possibilities posts. I wish they were condensed with a link to see the full post. I don't think they are funny or particularly interesting.

Watch the outer lines- they are very thin in the first version (partially covered up) and then wider when the pieces have been rotated. The extra area in the center comes from those margins.

There is no tank that you can buy at a pet store which provides adequate room for an adult red-eared slider (the type of turtles these look to be). What are they going to do with the turtles when they grow up? It would be smarter to use box turtles or Russian tortoises, which need less space and are easier to care for.

I had a similar idea during an extremely cold day in Chicago. I was waiting for the bus and saw a number of people who were not wearing hats and seemed to be very cold. I wondered if I went and bought new hats and tried to give them away if people would take them.... but I suspected that a lot of people would say no because despite the sub-zero temperatures they didn't want hat hair.

Coupons are generally for highly processed foods like canned soup, frozen meals, etc.... the types of foods which are connected with a specific brand. The food companies offer coupons to encourage people to buy their item for the first time in the hopes of creating a repeat buyer. If you want to eat healthy, you should spend most of your food budget on fresh vegetables, meats, grains, and dairy products... which are unlikely to have coupons. Sure, coupons will save you money, but at what cost to your health.

My brother once told me that if he had a million dollars, he would like to have his own batmobile. He had some mental and physical handicaps and died young (35). It's nice to see that someone else had the same dream and was able to make it a reality. Kind of warms my heart.

I'll have to start an informal quiz among my friends and family about this topic. I also thought that everyone saw the year as a rounded shape (but without the colors). Since this post quickly got a bunch of posts from other people who see the year as a shape, my guess is it's 10+% of the population. For me, the summer (June - August) is the flat to of the year with a gradual downward slope starting in September. December is on bottom and there is a sharp turn upward again in early January.
