I thought the left image was the beautified version. (Left = wow, Right = meh)
Actually, studies show that we find faces that are just slightly off of "perfect" symmetry to be the most beautiful. Completely "perfect" symmetry seems a little boring and forgettable to us... (probably something to do with wanting enough symmetry to indicate health, with a little variation to indicate genetic variation)
For those self-righteous ninnies who like to point out that they think bicyclists are scofflaws...
Statistics consistently show that cyclists are in general more law-abiding than car drivers.
(Not to mention that 30,000+ people die every year in car accidents in the U.S., making it the leading killer of young people, that car pollution is a huge contributor to global warming, that fuel taxes and car fees don't begin to cover the costs associated with driving, forcing the other tax-payers to subsidize drivers, that every person on a bicycle makes your life easier as a car driver - giving you more room on the road, and more parking spaces)
If you made that assertion, I wouldn't question your experience (unless there was obvious contradictory evidence). Give people a little benefit of the doubt, or at least a little respect.
Obviously, today she was discriminated against. Have you lived her life? Do you know something we don't? If not, how can you say that she hasn't had it tough on account of her race or sexual orientation, perhaps on a daily basis?
When the two words are hyphenated, they become a singular compound word.
For example, if you said that a man ran a 50-yard-dash in such-and-such time, that would be correct. Now shorten it to, "man runs 50-yard". Still correct.
She was riding on the sidewalk (unsafe and illegal in her area) and then went into the road to avoid pedestrians, and clipped a wall with her handlebar.
I'm glad the helmet protected her.
But the accident was preventable.
In fact, someone who rode more safely, but sans helmet, would have fared better than her.
Helmets should be an add-on safety measure, not a replacement for safe practices.
We cyclists are very good at spotting good bike-locking spots no matter how artistic they are... ;-)
These guys need to tighten up their act, it's a bit loose...
Just like the myths of poisoned candy, or razor bladed apples.

It's rolling papers.
right, because the good christian Adolph Hitler didn't have Dr. Mengela running disgusting experiments on children...
Moral behavior and religious belief are not strongly correlated in people.

So there.

Peace.

The Czech stuff is not real absinthe. It's a wormwood-pumped artificially colored swill.
To chev-hate:
That's what happened the last time...
