Will someone please tell the reporter that burning anything adds to the carbon in our environment.

I think that this is very interesting data. As for accuracy, it is what it is. Other analysis, such as the ones suggested, would also be interesting. I personally don't care as much about who won as who participated. Plotting participation vs. GDP would be my wish.

Since I agree with Rys *and* know that the origin of "pig in a poke" is wrong, I will decline to believe any of these.
Take a look at the "What Is It" archives at http://puzzlephotos.blogspot.com/ to find out what a poke really is and why a pig wearing one is not a good purchase.

This is not a tent. It is more like Les Nessman putting tape on the floor where he thinks his office walls should be. How does putting a visual barier between you and everyone else "express a feeling of belonging and sensuality?"

I think the optical illusion is the other way around. With the moon high in the sky, there is nothing to compare with it, so we make it smaller. When it is on the horizon, we see just how large it is.

Great bar trick. If one picks the right shape glasses and is allowed to have variable amounts of beer in them, I think four would be possible.

I be an engineer in the IBM plant where we made PCs in the eighties. Guess how we cleaned off everything before shipping? That's right, high pressure water that contained detergent?
Guess what kind of soap our vendors used? No, that would be wrong. They used clothes washing soap. It was less harsh than dish washing soap.
Your whole computer can be "washed" as long as it the last rince is done with DI or RO water and it is completely dry before being powered up.

I am distressed that these are described as biases. Some are potentially correct ways to evaluate choices. For example, 11. Hyperbolic Discounting agrees with the economic concept of present value.
Does one of these "biases" consider the potential negative outcome of over thinking and thereby taking too long to make a decision?
