There are a lot of stray cats around here, and they don't seem to have much trouble with the cold during winter (and it's sometimes much below -18). There is one badass cat I welcome into my apartment once in a while (sadly, I got roommates that are allergic), he's amazing. I have not seen him in a while, but he survived at least 2 winters without a home. I hope he's still alive and well. I have never seen a stray cat that was not scared to approach people like that, when he saw me walking down the street he was literally running towards me for some petting and saw him multiple times do the same with other people (many of them seemed confused/surprised hehe). He was very calm, I've tried many times to have him play with a wool string or various toys but he couldn't be bothered at all, he just walked slowly and casually around my apartment looking for humans to pet him.
He was pretty beaten up, the tip of his ears were gone probably because of freezing and many fights, and missing some fur spots in many places. What was interesting is that he was nice to humans, but not so nice to other cats. He was on my balcony once having some milk and he saw another cat on the other side of the street.. he jumped off the balcony, ran across the street and attacked the other cat. I don't know if he was protecting his territory or something, but he kicked the other cat's ass pretty bad, it was quite violent.
It's very sad, last winter I counted at least 6 different cats that live around here that don't seem to have owners, and those cats do not let anyone get close, they just run away.
Wow, that was brilliant. In like 30 seconds you go from so many different/opposite emotions, it's amazing. Watching it a second time makes you realize even more how brilliant and calculated/planned it was. I'm impressed by whoever did this. Obviously it's not to be taken seriously, but I guess not everyone can understand or enjoy this kind of humor.
Come on guys, it's not like the guy put his cat in a bag filled with rusty nails and threw it down some stairs while filming and laughing maniacally.
He just filmed his cat acting by it's own will and that's why this video is FUNNY. It's funny because the cat tried to jump thru what he thought to be a "hole" in the wall to get to the "room on the other side, not because it's a cat getting hurt. This is not animal cruelty... "animal cruely", come on, seriously, have you owned cats? This video is harmless.
Cats like to jump and climb things. It probably got confused a bit from the hit, but probably didn't even hurt itself. Cats might be cute little furry things but they're very tough and agile, they're predators by instinct. I've had cats before who have done crazy things while I was or wasn't watching, trying to climb something impossible to climb or trying to make an impossible jump, that's just how they are. You go and try to stop them!
People constantly film their kids getting hurt from falling down from their bikes or stuff like that and those videos are considered to be funny (I personally don't consider it funny). So the reaction to this video amazes me.
