thank goodness their dad is a photographer because these two are just way too adorable NOT to be photographed...a lot. great photos and what wonderful memories for the girls.
in a related pet peeve...i can't stand when an adult corrects another adults grammar. unless you are (truly) doing it because you care about the person and want to prevent them from an embarassing situation in, say, a business meeting or social settings. it seems to me that the majority of 'grammar correctors' seem to be doing so to show their knowledge - rather than to (truly) help the other person out. so if everyone could please stop doing that, i'd be much obliged.
ps, hopefully it goes without saying that i don't care to have my grammar errors scrutinized, analyzed and publicized. thank you.
i don't understand the attraction to snakes either - but lots of people don't understand my total devotion to my dogs. so, dif'rent strokes.
i don't know how snakes think or if they bond with people or even recognize individuals or any of that stuff, but that one actually seems pretty cool.
a question though...with a snake that big, what's to stop it from constricting around a person? doesn't seem like there'd be much you could do if that's what the snake had in mind. is keeping them well-fed enough?
my question is...how DON'T you steal one of those? it's like a Bob's Big Boy statue...just sitting there begging to be stolen. unfortunately, i doubt my HOA would agree on the awesomeness of an inflatable gorilla on my roof. another example of 'the man' trying to tell me what is and what is not an acceptable display of my personal style & flair.
how cool is that? very cool...that's how cool. it's so nice to read stories that remind me that the world isn't such a rotten place. just a simple gesture can make an impact. yea for you, Wil Wheaton!
true story, this is EXACTLY what happened to me juat yesterday. a neighbor bought the game at a garage sale and we set it up with his kid. all the pieces were there, but we never could get the bathtub part to work right. ahh, the memories of yesterday AND yesteryear....Mousetrap Never Works.
there are so many other ways to correct a kids behaviour - and teach them a better lesson - that don't involve striking them... bottomline for me...if someone else spanked your kid, you'd call the cops. why is it ok for us to do it? because they're ours and we love them? it just seems like twisted logic to me. also, how many parents out there are spanking their kids with zero anger or frustration? not many i'd bet. i think it's more of a release for the spanker than it is a lesson for the spankee. anybody out there waiting 10-15 minutes after the incident to cool off before they spank their kids? i think spanking is done when the parent can't figure out any other way to make the behaviour stop NOW. if it's illegal for someone else to do it to your kid - you may wanna stop and think twice before YOU do it. and why stop at kids? if spanking really works, why wouldn't a good whack from your boss teach you not to miss another deadline?
that was just lovely. both the story and the artistry. i can't believe that after seeing that all a person could do was *twitch* over a common spelling error. hooray for you! you found the error and pointed it out. smart devil you are. stoopid me, i just enjoyed a beautiful little video. i feel like an idiot.
i love this one - it's like a post just for me...sometimes we crafters/knitters/crocheters get lonely and it's nice to know other people are aware we exist and can see what we do. so, yea! oh, and boo!to Mr Mark 'Don't Knit in MY Neighborhood' Lucas.
i kinda like the sound of 'amagami' over 'amigurumi'. i love doing 'amagami' and knitting too - when i'm not making monkeys. heck sometimes i combine all three!!
happy craft month to all my kindred spirits out there...you know who you are.

also, ita with 'O'. i can't understand why people are taking this so seriously. lighten up and enjoy!
