The Moller skycar is no proof whatsoever. Since it never achieved anything more than a hover. A better example is parajet, which flew quite successfully, if a bit difficult to control, it was on a expedition from Spain to Timbuktu, it had a few incidents but at least it flew, more than could be said for the Moller, which was a large funding black hole. He eventually tried to sell of the failed prototype, and failed at that too.
The ice-9 is wrong too. It's freezing point was simply above room temperature. It was an allotrope of ice, such that if it came into contact with other water, it too was converted to ice-9, thus it would freeze the water(now ice-9) but not everything, just things containing water.
