Only good explanation I've heard for a Judge is for snake defense. If you need to react quickly to deal with a snake in the grass, a spray of pellets (probably get a decent pattern at 6 feet too) would be vastly superior to a pistol slug. That said, i doubt a 28 gauge would be that much better than a plain .410
