I'm actually looking forward to this movie. I was a HUGE A-Team fan as a kid and this looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I think it's important to remember that A) they ain't makin' Shakespeare B) it's not meant to be anything but summer popcorn fluff and C) it just might be a fun little distraction.
Of course, it could also be total trash, but it's just a matter of perspective.

When I was a kid we had a McDonald's that had a huge Captain Cook pirate ship in the middle of it where you could sit and eat. And there were frequent appearances by characters back in those days, including the Captain and the Hambuglar when he was still pointy and scary-looking. You hardly see them now.
