When I was a tiny, my school did similar things, but first it sent a letter home to the parents to explain the whats and whyfores and gave them an option to fill out a form for a free, reusable lunch-kit.

I remember winning a t-shirt with an airbrushed cougar (the school's mascot) for not using aerosols in the house.

To be more specific, I think it's a heart replacement valve. One of the old ones before they started using mini ping-pong balls.

(If I'm right, I'd love a dark grey I Heart Robots shirt in a ladies' XL. If I'm wrong, I'll weep, wail, and roll in sackcloth and ashes.)

At first the city planners thought it was a good idea, but after retail values plummeted on Cancer Man Lane and Pointless Space-Bee Drive, it was too late for the Ottawa office to redo the signs.

(I've got a sneaking suspicion that I recognize the sign-style and logo as being from my current home of Ottawa.)

I am a semi-starving, permanent student who is madly in mind-lust with Stephen Fry.

After finishing a BA in Political Science and Classical Studies, I've started my Master's in Late Antiquity Studies at OttawaU. I'm a voracious reader of just about anything that holds still; from literature to cereal boxes.

Movies, particularly 1950's musicals and heist pictures, are another love and I've has spent the last year working for an independent video rental store that specializes in strange, foreign and hard to find movies. If you liked 'Wild Zero' and want to know about other Japanese zombie movies with good dance numbers, I'd be the gal to ask. (*psst* The answer is Takashi Miike's comedy/horror flick 'Katakuri-ke no kôfuku', otherwise known as 'Happiness of the Katakuris'.)

One day I hope to own a diamond encrusted rocket pony.

I remember that kid! I saw him on the hill outside the Tower of Silence in Mumbai. I didn't buy a fan, but the languages impressed me so much that I wrote out how to do the talk in Estonian for him.
