For my money, the real holiday which should fall on a fixed day of the week (a la Thanksgiving) is Halloween. Make it the final Friday of October so that kids can stay out late and then teachers don't suffer the next day!

I was in one of the focus groups for this name change idea. I HATED it. I tried to convince everyone that it was a stupid idea.

Guess I failed.

I got a 67%. On the one hand, this is better than average. On the other hand, I am a History teacher, so I should have nailed this!!!

When my Aunt was in law school, she used to watch Perry Mason and argue the counter points. She would object to his leading the witness, to use of conjecture, and inappropriate courtroom etiquette. She ended up graduating top of her class!

That is one of my favorite Christmas moments. Past meets present (or is it future since it is Bowie?). And it works so well!!!
