That and the fed meeting was there recently. Given the live stream, and the desire for any sort of advantageous bit of information about how the meeting would go, my guess is a bunch of traders hit the live stream end of August and YouTube's algorithms saw the uptick and started suggesting. At that point, it became self feeding for a while.
They probably collected a couple dozens reactions, and only showed the freak outs. I would like to think that in some of the cut reactions, there were some concerned individuals. Of all of the scared reactions, the demographic seemed to be roughly those who would watch horror all the time.
