I've read all of Neatorama, and I did it last year! Alex, you even remarked on my doing it, why don't you remember?

:(

Perhaps not. :P

Yes, anyway, my housemates had left for a two weeks' vacation and I used that opportunity to read every entry on a few blogs, including this one. It took me about three or four days, for many hours a day, and I have been hooked ever since! Thanks Alex, Miss C, and others for keeping me entertained throughout the day! :D

Wow. I took astronomy in high school and aside from the somewhat odd and creepy teacher, I enjoyed that class so much. I wish I could see things like this. This is absolutely amazing.

In this candid screenshot of Baby Batman, we see the young hero utterly enthralled with his very first Batmobile (or, in his eyes, the hangy thing above his crib).

First off, a big hoorah to Alex and everyone for getting the site up and running with its brand new features. I can comment now!

And secondly, I took this quiz and made an 11/12. The only one I missed was the one about the credits. That's not strictly Python...

What can I say, I'm a Python geek!
:D

I had the flu during the week of the 12,345th post, and, in fact, I think I posted that in my comment on that post.

I have a fairly high immune system, so I never got the flu before, but I'll say this, I NEVER want it again!

The whole "Ich bin ein Berliner" is an Eddie Izzard gag in this stage show "Dress to Kill". [YouTube link- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mu02xUgE4k ]

He often says he is a citizen of Frankfurt and Hamburg as well.

:)

For those of you that don't know the joys of Eddie Izzard, he is a comedian, but also a transvestite as well.

I have been reading Neatorama since [roughly] this summer, and when I came across this site, my housemates were out of town. So you know, I read the entire archive of Neatorama. It took me the better part of two or three days, as I was on vacation at the time.

I know, what a dork, right? :D

Anyway, I adore British humor [Python, Izzard, etc], am vegetarian, and am currently suffering from the flu.

I've submitted some things to Neatorama, although only one was posted-The Unaired QI Pilot [which has since been deleted from YouTube :(]

Umm. Welll, Neatorama is in my list of daily websites to check, and I check it about twice a day :]

Congratulations on your 12,345th post, Alex, and I await many more!

I am scared of clowns, but nearly as bad as the woman in the video. I can even tell you why I don't like them.

When I was four, I went to the circus and entered a drawing for a bicycle. I ended up winning the bicycle and the clowns came up the stands to get me. Well, they grabbed me by the wrist and practically dragged me down the stairs. It hurt. :(

I didn't even get to ride the bicycle for another six years because I was too short.

I'm not completely terrified of them, but I'd much rather be in a room full of puppies than a room full of clowns.

Anyway, I'm liking the articles and long posts that you guys have been posting lately. Thanks for taking the time to do it! :D

I honestly thought this was going to be that "Sinko da Mayo" joke that circulated the internet a while back.

Here's the joke, if you've never come across it. I don't wish to offend or annoy, just to entertain. :]

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo.
