I buy bottled water because I can't carry around a drinking fountain. The reason I don't use reusable bottles for water is that I have yet to find one that is dishwasher safe and will fit in the top shelf of my dishwasher.
I liked to climb trees and catch toads (not at the same time). Never been one for pretty frocks and hair bows. But I'd much rather be called a chick than a broad.
So then you can't get upset when people ask you if you know "Steve from Canada" then, right? ;)
Something to ponder: When Journey sings "born and raised in South Detroit" do they mean Windsor, ON? I love all-dressed chips, but I have no idea what flavour that is.
graymccarty, that video is really funny. But I have to defend George W. Bush and John Engler (for the first and probably last time ever for both) - "Chretien" and "poutine" sound enough alike in a noisy hallway that I can see why they'd make that mistake. Especially since we don't have poutine in the US.
I'm unclear as to how this insect "landed" in Michigan first. If it came in on a ship, wouldn't it have had to stop somewhere else on it's journey through the Great Lakes? Is there a customs station for freighters? I do know as of about 8 years ago, there aren't many ash trees left in SE Michigan.
graymccarty, why is it when you ask a Canadian where they are from, they say "Canada"? It's a big country, can you be more specific? Ask an American where they are from, they'll tell you the state and assume that you've heard of it. But 9 times out of ten, a Canadian will just say "Canada". We've heard of your provinces. Some of us even know where they are. Even the little ones like P.E.I.
In Michigan, we have a $.10 bottle deposit on pop and beer bottles and cans. Some grocery stores have machines that look like this that you feed the bottles into and you get a receipt that you can trade in for real money. That's a big motivator as well.
Buddhaflow, where do you get off dictating what course of treatment other people should follow? Just because something didn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone. Sorry you had bad experiences. I have had wonderful experiences. The ADD drugs have been a blessing to me. For the record, I was put on them 35 years ago. I never turned into a zombie. Maybe the problem was you.
And for the record, pot never helped me with my ADD. It usually just made me nauseous. But I think it's great that it can help other people. I wouldn't dream of saying that parents who give their child something that helps should be put in prison just because I've had bad experiences with it.
Since you asked for t-shirt selection: Come to the Dark Side.
