I saw that on TV...might have been the same woman...but anesthesia has different components to it. One of them is making you lose conciousness. I'm not too sure of that since it was a long ago I watched that. Can anyone clarify that?

I think we don't have as much natural disasters as down south since they're alot closer to equator...more heat. But here in the BC, there have been some decent sized forest fires in the past.
Wow. I'm up north in BC, Canada and I've heard nothing about this. I'm very sorry to hear about the fire and I hope the families in California will stay safe.
As for preparedness for an emergency, I'm not sure if you've heard of it but the expected "big one" (Cascadian earthquake)...but that affects northern California and south BC o_O But in class, we are currently studying it...

I'm not denying that kids like that don't exist somewhere out there. I am a teen myself and I think this kind of stereotypical crap fuels the attitude me and many of my friends receive from grannies (yeah, old ladies...)
One time, we were on a bus going to a park in downtown and so we all sat in the back and we were talking about real nerdy stuff (I'm from an IB school...can't escape the nerdiness XD) and the granny started spouting off at us. The thing was, the group next to us of an older teen crowd a few feet away were talking about movie porn. =.=
