Gotta admit, I'm glad they at least admitted responsibility. It's evidently far enough from Washington D.C. that the anti-responsibility virus isn't present in large enough quantities to affect the leaders of the company ;)
Ok...so...it's a great story and all...but man, it's not something I like to wake up to. I'm not a particularly picky person, but waking up and then immediately being depressed due to a story I read is not a great way to start a day.
might not be a big deal to most, but as a poor college student, the fact that yours are $5 more expensive than thinkgeek (your shipping costs are similar- yours are a little higher but still reasonable) would price you out of the market for me.
I mean, assuming I didn't already have them. Which I do. And they are awesome and very warm and quite sturdy. Plus they terrify my cat. Wins all around.
Ok...I'll hold the RAID for a sec...think about this...then kill the cockroaches anyway! They may have the solution to the world's problems in their tiny little brains, but right now they're pooing on my wall and causing massive asthma issues.
Besides, she eats good food (none of this Japanese-live-past-100-because-of-tofu nonsense in her) and isn't afraid of alcohol...she has plenty of other indulgences besides sexual trysts :D
You know, there ARE asexual people in the world. People who have never been close to one don't seem to believe that it's even possible to live that way and be happy.
Yeah, most of them are that way because of hormone deficiencies, but even so, they can live very fulfilling lives without the desire for romantic entanglement (from the story, the headline of "Resisting" romance seems rather misleading- I doubt she had to resist many urges for it). I'd wager that this lady has had very close friendships where she loved that person, even if it wasn't in a romantic way.
Once everything else is equal, I'll worry about this. So long as I get paid 85% of what males of comparable skill and education level in the same field make (and that's being generous to some fields), just give me my alcohol.
I also don't think that this guy is acting in an anti-feminist way here, as he's trying to level things out so that everyone is equal, but he's described HIMSELF that way, and if you search him and look at his past quotes and cases you'll see that he really is just a misogynistic jerk who resents women.
In restaurants in WI, you can't serve margarine at the table unless butter is also set out.
Personally, I hate the stuff. It tastes like artificial everything and natural nothing. I've had to give up almost all dairy, but butter is one thing I'm never going to use a substitute for.
So THAT'S what Ascention is! I was looking through shipping rates and regulations yesterday, and Ascention kept coming up under every restricted substance on the list.
If it was dry grass that started the fire, it often IS a huge roaring fire in less time than it takes to notice something amiss :( I can understand where you're coming from if it were wood or smoldering underbrush, but a swath of dry grass next to a forest that hasn't been burned recently is just disaster waiting to happen.
