This is...this is seriously it. Every time the writers and designers of the website do something hideously sexist and classist and poorly defend themselves by going "well I'm sorry you're offended, you have no sense of humor" I keep going "well, maybe they're insensitive clods and maybe it was an accident" and keep reading. And things are good for a while and you lull me into thinking it was a one-time thing. Then you go and do something at least as disgusting and awful as the last time. Clearly, it's not an accident (though you seem to not know better) you don't learn from your mistakes, and you don't even try to keep your readers happy when you screw up. You just stand there and suggest there is no reason why anyone should be offended.

You guys should consider learning how to apologize. You might fewer pissed-off, disgusted people (like me) tired of being told we're offended over nothing and finding new websites to visit.

Miiike is right, the research was done by BioCote, who, conveniently, makes silver-impregnated antimicrobial products. The idea is to freak people out and then insist that Something Must Be Done, which involves purchasing their products. I see "articles" like this very often in mewspaper, especially from the UK.

I'm not really an expert on your relationships, nutbastard, but you might do better if you weren't dead-set on making a relationship an us-versus-them setup where you're unwilling to compromise because it's emasculating to you because doing a chore the way your lady likes is a slap in the face for the patriarchy. And then venting your frustration with a therapist instead on in the comment section on a tangentially-related item.

As for the item: no surprise. This site never even pretended to respect women, so why not piss in the face of feminism as a whole? I mean, as long as they can go "IT'S A JOKE, SO STOP BEING OFFENDED", we have to stop being offended, right?

Ugh, sorry, Alex, it's still sexist and it's still not funny and still makes me think less of you for writing it and then trying to justify it.

We'll ignore the kid's need to wear an overtly controversial shirt to "provoke debate" (ie, he is wearing it for the attention and he probably has no idea what it actually means in the context of philosophy). He has a right to free speech, but it is not equal to the right of the school to determine what is or is not appropriate for the yearbook and what hundreds of others kids and their families have to look at in the yearbook. I hope the schools sticks to its guns - I have met people like this in college where nobody has ever stuck to their regulations in the face of a whiny teenager, and they aren't "controversial" or "thought-provoking" -they're obnoxious and don't realize that the rules of the adult world are rarely debatable.
