Agree with John London's comments, as I too immediately thought she has some syndrome, due to unusual facial features, and I noticed that she covered her ears and looked unhappy as soon as she entered the Abbey. One of my own children did this as a child and my mother, a speech therapist, identified an auditory processing problem, and now he is diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum. Parents may not be aware of this, or they would not, surely, have subjected a small child to this stress.
