Henry Louis Gate Jr's show Finding Your Roots has an episode where one of his guests has an ancestor that arrived on the Clotilda. These things aren't ancient history. We're still living with it today.
Expiration dates don't mean anything! They really are just a way that manufacturers keep their products turning over on the shelf. I think people believe that there are scientific safety reasons behind them and there aren't.
The really interesting part of this story is the NYT article linked above which concludes: "In the only other slaying on the campus, a female graduate student was stabbed with an icicle in a library in 1969. Her killer was never found." Seriously?
From the moment he passes the sign indicating a sharp turn with a 25 mph speed limit he accelerates to about 68 mph before slowing down and is still going almost 40 mph when he flies off the edge. I wouldn't recommend trying to sue the motorcycle manufacturer for "faulty steering".
